About
Birthday Party Crafts is an informational resource for handmade birthday decorations, party craft projects and practical tutorials. The guides are written for people who want a party to look made-with-care without special equipment: paper, scissors, glue, string and an evening or two are enough for most of what is here.
What you will find here
- Decoration projects for the room and the wall: pennant banners, garlands, streamers, paper rosettes, fans, tissue pom-poms, signs and a giant cardboard number.
- Table and favor projects: centerpieces, place cards, paper toppers, favor bags, pillow boxes and tags.
- Wearables and props: paper party hats, crowns and photo booth props.
- Technique guides on cutting, scoring and folding, choosing glue and tape, running a craft table at the party and storing decorations for next year.
- Theme ideas built from generic shapes and colors, such as rainbows and outer space.
If you are new, the best place to begin is Birthday Party Crafts for Beginners, followed by the guides to cutting, scoring and folding and glue and tape, and then how to plan a whole room. The full list is on the Tutorials page.
How the guides are written
Each tutorial lists the materials and tools, gives one action per step, and points out where a project usually goes wrong. Sizes are given in inches with metric equivalents. Where a tool is optional, the guide says what to use instead, so no project depends on a particular brand or machine. Time estimates are rough guides only; your pace will differ.
Original, generic designs. The projects use simple shapes such as stars, dots, stripes, rainbows, flowers and planets. The site does not reproduce characters, logos or artwork from films, shows, games or toys, and the guides do not ask you to.
No printables. The guides explain how to draw each shape yourself with a ruler, a pencil and round household objects. Any words on a banner, sign or tag are yours to write.
Illustrations. The images on this site are simplified drawings made to show shapes, layers and the order of steps. They are diagrams, not photographs of finished decorations, and real paper will look different.
Safety. Some projects use scissors, craft knives, hot glue or small parts. The guides say so where it matters. An adult should decide what is suitable for the children at their own party and supervise accordingly.
The site does not publish invented reviews, ratings or testimonials.
